Through “bad” governance, former President John Mahama, left a sour taste in the mouth of most Ghanaians and the experience according to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of New Patriotic Party, would force electorates to vote against him in 2020.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has likened the the government of the former President to a “leftover kokonte” and stated that the economic management strategies, implemented by him caused dissatisfaction and general hardships for Ghanaian businessmen.
According to him, “John Mahama had an agenda to create a class society. He enjoyed with his brothers and cronies only. Ghanaians were made to go through daily hardships and it was like feeding us with leftover kokonte. That was exactly what his economy represented”.
Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi added that it was under the leadership of Mr. Mahama that corruption allegations such as the infamous bus branding, Brazil World Cup, SADA, SUBA, GYEEDA, SSNIT, NCA, Ford Expedition saga came up.
Chairman Wontumi noted that despite the challenges President Akufo-Addo inherited from his predecessor Mr. Mahama, he has shown that he is a man Ghanaians can trust.
He therefore called on voters to vote massively for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP parliamentary candidates in 2020.
