Ya Naa, Farouk Aliu Mahama Commissions Refurbished Yendi Hospital Mortuary
The Overlord of Dagbon, His Royal Eminence, Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II will, with all grandiose and imperial splendor, join Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama and the good people of Yendi to commission the newly refurbished Yendi Hospital Mortuary fully financed by Farouk Aliu Mahama to serve the people of Yendi and its environs.
The ribbon cutting ceremony to symbolize the handing over of the facility to the hospital management is scheduled to take place on Monday, 10th August, 2020 on the theme “ Putting the People First: Restoring Hopes & Transforming Lives” at the forecourt of the morgue.
The move of the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Yendi Constituency to single-handedly sponsor this project and restore the operation of the Yendi mortuary facility is motivated by his hell-bent zeal to reduce the sufferings of the people and end the 30-years challenge where simple mortuary services could not be accessed forcing residents to rely on Tamale mortuary facilities and other places in the event of a need of such services
Over GHC350, 000 has been sunk in the procurement of items for the facility including a fitting 12 body-cabinet mortuary freezers imported from the Republic of China in addition to the renovation works done at the Mortuary to give it a good interior and exterior outlook.
The supreme ruler of Dagbon, the Paramount Chief of Mion, Mion Lana Abdulai Mahamadu, chiefs, opinion leaders and the Islamic cleric while taking turns at separate instances to inspect the mortuary fridges during the arrival gave the son of the late former Vice President their blessings and hailed him for his heroic and humanitarian intervention to ameliorate the living conditions of his people.
Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II stated that he stands for development of Dagbon and will support anyone who shares in his vision indicating that the generosity of Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama feeds into that.
The mortuary facility is going to serve not the people of Yendi alone but the entire eastern corridor area. That is the peoples of Kpandai, Bimbilla, Saboba, Taletale, Zabzugu, Kariga, Wulesi Chereponi Karaga, Gushegu and Mion will have the opportunity to access the facility.
Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama opined that he is fully committed to using his experience and network to build a Yendi that brings progress and development for all. Together and with synergized energies, we shall build a New Yendi City.
