WHY SHOULD WE VOTE FOR YOU TO IMPLEMENT POLICIES ALREADY BEING IMPLEMENTED BY PREZ. AKUFO-ADDO?
With another humiliating defeat staring him in the face following series of researches they have contracted some institutions to do for them, John Mahama would like to mitigate this irrevocable predicament by giving mouthwatering promises.
The flagbearer of the NDC is promising to leave teacher and nursing training allowances untouched if voted for.
It is funny how he would be the one to make such a promise when the owner and originator, Akufo-Addo, is in power and has no intention of scrapping same.
It makes little sense why you would promise to keep in place a policy when the one at the helm of affairs is not contemplating doing away with it.
It begs the question, has Akufo-Addo said he would scrap it? No! So why would Ghanaians vote for Mahama to keep this same policy in place when the one in charge, the one who promised and delivered it, has no plans to cancel it?
It simply goes to show that Mahama has no message and would like to promise Ghanaians that he would implement the policies already in place or better them if elected.
It is instructive to point out that it was this same Mahama and his NDC who scrapped these allowances. Time may have worked on our memories but we cannot easily forget how Mahama and his troops insensitively took away this pro-poor policy from the students.
Mahama has always been draughty when it comes to generating ideas worthy enough for the masses. He is simply ideologically bankrupt and must not be allowed close to power.
