WHY IS OFOSU-AMPOFO CRYING IF HISTORY IS REPEATING ITSELF?

The NDC, attempting a feeble defense against the onslaught of their entrenched stance in relation to the EC’s decision to compile a new register, has raised a point which has to be interrogated.

Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, speaking on the sidelines of the meeting of the political parties, the EC, Eminent Committee Members and some CSOs, was unhappy how some dormant and dead parties suddenly appeared at the forum to express their views about the ongoing tussle between the party and the EC.

The National Chairman of the NDC expressed shock at the inclusion of some near-extinct political parties in the IPAC meeting which ostensibly was held to seek further clarity and information on why the EC has said it would compile a new register.

How time flies! If Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo were any paragon of virtue, he would have kept mute over that matter.

When Charlotte Osei was being impressed upon to compile a new register since the existing one was alleged to contain names of foreigners, the EC then summoned all political parties to a meeting with some important personalities.

Peter McManu deftly presented the evidence of the NPP to that committee. Political parties were allowed to share their views on the matter.

What stood out at the event was the sudden reappearance of some political parties. Even Wereko-Brobbey’s dead and buried UGM got resurrected as strange as it seemed. Several other parties which had gone into coma woke up to throw their support to the EC.

Why is Ofosu-Ampofo wailing if history is repeating itself with startling accuracy, assuming without admitting that his claim is even true?

The NDC and its assigns have been outnumbered and that seems to have pained Ofosu-Ampofo.
