Was Prophet Seth Frimpong not Truly a Man of God?

Action speaks louder than words, so a practically proven saying goes. From an interview granted by the late Prophet Seth Frimpong, narrating the problems he went through and how some people who had come to sympathise with him were prodding him with offer of help to form his own church but he refused, could he not be a true man of God?

Many a modern day supposedly men of God in Ghana, when they lay hands on a few musical instruments or equipment and can quote a few verses from the bible, coupled with having intimidating voice and can speak a bit of English, and chance to persuade a few ignorant women to accept them, easily form their own church. However, the late Prophet Seth Frimpong, never went that way, if the confessions in his granted interview as could be found below were nothing but the gospel truth.

Going by his assertions, and known to have wherewithal (at least remarkable acumen in singing gospel songs) to form his own church, he still did not go that way, based on his belief that going his own way was not within his calling by God. This alone makes me believe, until anything about his private life that was not known publicly is revealed to negate his public appearance as a true man of God, I take him as a man of God unlike the many false ones in Ghana.

Despite his illness and eventual culmination in death, I may plead with the public not to see him as an evil person hence the God he believed in could not save him from illness and death. I base this on my knowledge of the following bible verses.

Hebrews 9:27-28: “27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation”.

God did not heal Apostle Paul of his infirmity. And, this is what Paul has to say in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong”.

Finally, in Luke 9:58, Jesus says, “And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

Therefore, don’t let anyone see the illnesses and the other problems Prophet Seth Frimpong went through as some sort of curse or punishment inflicted on him for doing something wrong against God or against a fellow human being unless there were some skeletons in his cupboard that were not made public.

Man is born to die in the end as the bible says. Man is born to fall sick as proven in the bible. When these happen, it is not because those concerned have sinned but it is because it is in fulfilment of God’s ultimate objective for man.

From his interview as mentioned earlier, he is a true man of God unlike those we see today in Ghana going by big titles but are simply wolves in lambskin.

Let us watch the underlying videos to appreciate the departed man of God whose songs were so inspirational and were once found to be a solace for me.

Prophet Seth Frimpong performs after long battle with illness

Sorry, I cannot continue any further. I have become so emotional with tears trickling down my cheeks so let me better call it a day. Nonetheless, I wish his soul peace and a rest in the bosom of God Almighty that he served and believed in as we all do. Amen.
