There have been strenuous posthumous attempts by the leadership of the NDC to whitewash the inhumane treatment meted out to former President Jerry John Rawlings after his trek to the life hereafter.

The NDC, led by John Mahama, has been dead against what they term as attempts by the Akufo-Addo administration to impede the opposition party from taking charge of the funeral rites of the late Ghanaian leader.

Asiedu Nketiah is accusing President Akufo-Addo of crying more than the bereaved(NDC) as the party is not being given unfettered access to the former first family in the aftermath of his death.

Tears of gigantic nature are being seen in the eyes of Mr. Mahama, Asiedu Nketiah and the others. Their red eyes would definitely convince the Thomas of our era that indeed the death of Jerry John Rawlings has gravely affected these people.

The seeming display of affection and love for Jerry John Rawlings by the leadership of the NDC would make the politically uninitiated believe that indeed all was rosy between the party and Papa J when he was alive.

The obvious truth was that there was no love lost between the opposition NDC and the former President of the Republic, Jerry John Rawlings.

Asiedu Nketiah and his charges detested him with venom. To the extent that they ‘retired’ him from the very party he founded.

Asiedu Nketiah, in a speech, categorically stated that the ‘barking dog’, Jerry John Rawlings, had been tamed and caged and would no longer be a bother to the NDC.

Several other persons within the top hierarchy of the NDC had the cause to castrate Rawlings for not singing their sycophantic hymnals for Mahama.

They treated him like an outcast in the very political tradition he birthed and nurtured. The creator of the rain was left for dead out of thirst. Now they are displaying how pained they are after he died. Marcus Junius Brutus can be seen in these NDC executives.
