Folks, just watch this video about the comments of Felix Kwakye-Ofosu on Newsfile when the Adentan-Madina footbridges’ demonstrations took place.
“….but for me, the spontaneous outbursts of anger and emotion over the matter signals an awakening of the citizenry to their right to demand performance from their leaders and not to tolerate irresponsibility on the part of Government.
You see, on the 7th of January, 2017, when Nana Akufo-Addo took office, he essentially had assumed responsibility for all assets and liabilities of the state of Ghana, so it became his responsibility to address all concerns relating to ongoing projects that had not been completed, and I do not want to bore you with the history of this road, but it is important just so that the facts are clear and we know who to hold responsible for what because that’s ultimately at the heart of governance” Felix Kwakye-Ofosu on Newsfile.
He went on to say that the Akufo-Addo administration had no excuse to abandon the footbridges and so per governance structures, any repercussive outcomes resulting from any form of delay by the Akufo-Addo administration should be put at the doorsteps of the government.
He intimates, a government accepts both assets and responsibilities of a previous regime.
Fast forward to the construction of the Pokuase Interchange, the same Felix Kwakye-Ofosu and his ilk are all over the place, claiming credit for the facility simply because Mahama negotiated and got the loan for the project.
Akufo-Addo was told to bear the brunt of the demonstrations. He was responsible for the deaths witnessed on the Adentan-Madina road because of the assets/liabilities dichotomy.
Strangely enough, the assets/liabilities dichotomy doesn’t apply when it comes to the Pokuase Interchange.
You see how dishonest Kwakye-Ofosu is? Watch the video, please.
