Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Board, Michael Okyere Baafi, has filled his nomination forms to contest the NPP Parliamentary Primaries for New Juaben South Constituency.
He will be the only aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) to challenge the incumbent New Juaben South MP, Dr Asibey Yeboah, in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries slated for April this year.
In a message posted on his Facebook handle, he wrote:
It was a pleasure to have yet another opportunity to file my nomination forms to contest the NPP Parliamentary Primaries for New Juaben South Constituency. I was overwhelmed to have seen over hundreds of delegates and constituents, join me in taking up this bold step.
This will be the second time I have submitted myself to be considered by the dutiful delegates of the Constituency. I do so with a humble heart and an unwavering conviction that there’s nothing more fulfilling than the honor to represent and serve the good people New Juaben South.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
I should say that, it is a blessing to be a son of New Juaben South. New Juaben South has been very generous to me; it has developed me into becoming a person of value by instilling in me, a sense of purpose and identity. I know of no other home than New Juaben South.
Personally, I think New Juaben South deserves better than what we are experiencing now. It is about time we turn our tables to a direction that would favor us and uplift the image of our dear Constituency. It is to this I come back to seek your mandate to materialize the dreams and prospects of the Constituency.
In this regard, I intend to continue the dialogue I started a few years ago with party functionaries and voters in the constituency about priority challenges that we can collectively tackle.
With inspiring and purposeful leadership, New Juaben South will shine! Thank you, once more, for your continuous support.
God bless New Juaben South
God bless NPP
God bless Ghana
