THE RESCUE MISSIONARIES NEED TO BE RESCUED FROM THEIR CONFUSED STATES

This may sound comedic to the ears but for the NDC to say that Mahama’s second coming is mandatory is something that can only be more seditious than eccentric.

The party deployed its political emissaries to Neat FM where they said that the second coming of John Mahama is a must and that absolutely nothing can thwart same.

If his second coming is mandatory, then why are they still disturbing our ears with their no-so-attractive and unconvincing campaign messages?

Are they considering staging a coup d’état to mandatorily institute Mahama as president? Such subversive ideas are inimical to our democratic credentials.

What has become a matter of consternation to me is the claim that they are on a rescue mission since Ghana’s economy has been poorly run.

For a group of people whose incompetence led to Ghana’s economic management key being offloaded to the IMF, one wonders if their rescue agenda is to walk us back into the uncomfortable arms of the IMF.

Dumsor scourged Ghana under Mahama. Akufo-Addo has seen to the sector being normalized. Is their rescue targeted at sending us back to those dark days?

Ghanaians are enjoying Free S.H.S, free water, free electricity, planting for food and jobs, a digitized economy, One District One Factory, One Village One Dam, One Ambulance per Constituency, the list is endless.

These great projects and products from the Akufo-Addo administration do not need to be reversed. Ghanaians are not in any dangers to be rescued.

Ghana’s economy under Akufo-Addo is not performing badly even under the throes of COVID-19. Until COVID-19 hit the world and us, our economy was one of the fastest in the world in terms of growth.

Those who need to be exorcised are the very people preaching this vague and empty rescue mission which seeks to bring back the incompetent one, not the larger Ghanaian population.

As to their claim of mandatorily establishing Mahama as our president, they may be thinking that they are in the 70s and 80s where coup d’états were yearly occurrences.
