The NPP Is The Best Party For Governance In This Country~ Otiko Afisa Djaba
The former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba has emphatically stated that no party comes close to the New Patriotic Party when it comes to good governance in this country.
The former National Women’s Organiser for the ruling party, in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show, dismissed claims that she had left the NPP as a result of her voluntary ‘retirement’ from active politics.
“O.B, let me make this point to the hearing of everybody. The NPP is the best party for governance in this country” she emphasized.
She also said that it is a fallacy for anyone out there to think she has left the NPP following her voluntary exit from office in 2018. “I have not left NPP. I am NPP through and through” Otiko said this on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show with Philip Osei Bonsu as the host.
The former Gender Minister was responding to a news item attributed to her by some NDC elements published on Opera News which tended to project the running mate of the opposition NDC, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang while bastardizing Chairman Wontumi and the NPP in general.
“That is the character of the NPP. You can ask Ursula. They hate to see women at the height of decision making. What didn’t they do to Hajia Alima? And you have a Bush man like Wontumi as the Chairman of Ashanti Region spewing rubbish about a whole professor? Such a kambooo kraatchi. I am happy I left such a useless party. It’s time for Change and Ghanaians must vote them out”. This was the report circulated on social media by some NDC activists.
Otiko who heads the Henry Djaba Foundation denied ever speaking to any media house over the said matter and urged Ghanaians to disregard the story and to treat same with the contempt it deserves.
