THE INEPTITUDE OF JOHN MAHAMA AND NDC
BY COLLINS SAH

In the electioneering year like this in 2016, the then opposition ( NPP) with its vibrant and ever dynamic leader and flag bearer Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo was making the political space in the country as hot as coal fire and jamming with his manifesto and issues based arguments. The NPP was very clear in direction in terms of policies and promises to the good people of Ghana.

He was a truly a discerning son of one of our fore fathers or pogenecies who fought in various ways to bring Ghana to where it is today. Though there were lots of issues, much ado about nothing including age, where the then party in power now in opposition ( ndc ) brought up and made mockery of and priding themselves as having a youth as leader yet his work output was less than zero(0). Arguably, he is/ was the most vilified politician in Ghana ever to have been in our politics.

Glory be to God that most Ghanaians saw beyond the cheap propaganda and bought into his vision and promises. As Bob Marley rightly puts it “who the cap fits, let him wear it”. I vehemently believe as a people we have not regretted who we voted for with that margin.

Can this be said about the leader of the current opposition leader? Not long ago did we hear him ‘globe-trotting’ all in the name of seeking snippets of informations, ideas and policies from the general public. A public stunt I call this and yet they have not been able to come out with any worthnoting manifesto and direction on how he will do differently from his abysmal performance and highly corrupted first term as envisaged many. He was literally begging for ideas. Even in opposition, he doesn’t want to part with the accolade ‘the incompetent one’ and nothing he will do, incompetency and his very nature are intrinsically and intriguingly intertwined making the duo highly inseparable by whatever means.

Lately, he as much as possible tried to stay relevant in the media space by galavanting around with his usual noise and a whistleblower captain’s band was earned him by good people of Ghanaians. In his discourse, he either tried to solve what was already solved or being solved. He again tried to solve his own mess with impunity and disgrace. I need not mention them for the purpose of time and space and prevent boredom. In general, his best was to make general statements without nothing and as ecclesiastics puts it, “there was nothing new under the sun and all were meaningless and vain’.

The ineptitude of Mahama and NDC

With barely 10 months to the general election, my very self and most concerned Ghanaians have their butts glued to the ‘red coal seat of politics’ to audibly decipher meaningful from the option Ghanaians have. Is this the kind of future and doom we have as a nation? Whew!. Instead for them to sit down and soberly think, they are everywhere making unnecessary noise about voters register, a trifles issue as less as the anthill, of which many people have described as useless, bogus, inappropriate and meaningless venture if I may borrow their words. Without mincing words, a definition well fitting as the size of a peg in its hole.

We want to hear from them how they will manage the near perfect economy the NPP is on course to achieving, how they will increase agricultural yield better than the unprecedented increase we are enjoying, how they will make education better than the free and quality education we are currently enjoying, how they will improve health in the face of the commissioning of the ambulances for each district, drone service, the completion of the hospitals bequeathed us without a penny as the list counts down.

In other words, what I’m trying to say is that, there is nothing and I reiterate, absolutely nothing for him to come solve as Nana Addo and his energetic, well-abled and boisterous NPP machinery is doing all and solving his problems in every sector.

Indeed Nana Addo has done more in less than 4 years and therefore deserves more to do more, as acronymed and a popular mantra in town, ‘4 more years for more’, and even beyond 2024. We have proven beyond all doubts deemed reasonable to be the best managers of the economy and father to the poor which I believe the NDC party alludes to this. We are simply the good, better and best.

Now his deeds are following him. The evil that men do lives after them as puts a prolific novelist. He is afraid of his own shadow and his never-ending hit of scandal after scandal as new day unfolds. His own people are even leaving him to his fate as ‘he chop his chop alone’.

The NDC has nothing to prove to Ghanaians again, because they have shown us their worth and they weighed nothing better than a fluffy substance. Tweaa!

Come 2020 they will be shown their level not by new register but by the power of the thumb. With barely 10 months to the general election, my very self and most concerned Ghanaians have their butts glued to the ‘red coal seat of politics’ to audibly decipher meaningful from the option Ghanaians have. As if the airbus scandal is not enough, now the prampram airport scandal has also surfaced. No wonder when he was asked if he has ever taken a bribe, he also asked as a person or as a president? So Mr John Mahama, these scandals happened as to you as a person or as a president?

The NDC has nothing to prove to Ghanaians again because they have shown us their worth and they weighed nothing better than a fluffy substance. Tweaa!

Long live Ghana

#we have done better
#4 more 4 Nana
#4 more to do more
