TANO SOUTH MP COMES TO THE AID OF HUUDU MAJID AND THREE OTHERS WITH SEWING MACHINES AND BICYCLE
This is Huudu Majid. He didn’t have the opportunity to go to school. He lives at Ankaase, a community seven kilometers from Derma.
Huudu didn’t have money to go into any trade or apprenticeship. He pleaded with someone at Derma to help him to become a seamstress. The person agreed.
The challenge was that Huudu didn’t have a sewing machine so had to beg someone at Ankaase to give him her machine. The person has since come for her machine saying her own child needs it.
Huudu also suffers the ordeal of walking 7km from Ankaase to Derma everyday to learn how to sew.
On Saturday, November 21, 2020, Huudu walked to Honourable Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere’s house and narrated his sad story.
The Tano South MP, upon hearing Huudu’s story, has given him a brand new sewing machine and a bicycle to help him move from Ankaase to Derma to continue with his apprenticeship.
Huudu couldn’t hide his happiness and appreciation for the kind gesture shown him by Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere.
Three young girls who also have expressed desire to learn how to sew were also at the residence of the Honourable Ahafo Deputy Minister who were also given one sewing machine each.
