SAMUEL ABLAKWA AND HIS NDC SHOULD RATHER APOLOGIZE TO GHANAIANS, NOT URSULA
I am told that Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is praying the NPP leadership to punish Honourable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for her matter-of-factly submission to the effect that the NPP government has rescued Ghana from the doldrums the NDC took years to plunge the economy into.
I burst into uproarious laughter upon hearing that. Even the naive in our political landscape can form a glimmering conception of how the NDC murdered the finances of this country, engaged in profligacy as though there was no tomorrow and allowed corruption to fester in most institutions and to top it all, treated the next generation of Ghanaians as though they were endangered species with their ineptitude.
Why should Ursula be punished? Do we need to be rocket engineers to know that the NPP has rescued Ghana from economic mismanagement, erratic power supply popularly called dumsor and graduate unemployment?
Must we be forced to come to the realization that nonpayment of nursing and teacher training allowances defined the 8-year rule of the NDC?
We don’t need to be geniuses to remember that parents were paying exorbitant school fees, falling agriculture and industrial sector, ailing health sector, cybercrime, inefficiencies in delivery of government services to citizens by not using technology efficiently and effectively.
We clearly do not need the services of some extra sensory powers to know that Ghana’s economy was on autopilot under the NDC, a situation that led to the fruitless Seinchi economic forum which resulted in Mahama handing over the key to the management of our economy to the IMF.
Indeed, we have saved Ghana from the corrupt, inept, inefficient and visionless NDC government and we have nothing to apologize for.
Yeagye ɔman Ghana afiri nkoasom, ohia, ateetee, ahohia, kɔdaanna mu akɔsi mpuntuo ne kankɔ kwan so.
In fact, Ursula hit the nail right on the head with her submission. The tribal bigots can carry on with their jaundiced opinions, distorted belief systems and stale thoughts. Ghana remains rescued from the ensnared bondage of the NDC, thanks to the New Patriotic Party.
It is rather the NDC that needs to apologize to Ghanaians for the pains they have caused to us for so many years.
