*Regional Minister Commissions Fire and Ambulance Bay at Kadjebi*
The Oti Regional Minister Hon. Owusu Yeboah on 26th February, 2020 commissioned Fire and Ambulance Bay at Kadjebi. According to the minister, this is part of government commitment to improve emergency services within kadjebi and adjoining districts. All one need to know is just dial 112 in case you are in distress need for help.
Earlier on, the minister was said to have visited pillar 83 at Ahamansu, a site earmarked for the construction of Oti Regional Immigration post as part of government efforts to decentralised the regional ministries.
On roads, he emphasised strongly that, the Eastern Corridor road construction is on course and his outfit has secured fund through COCOBOD to construct the strectch of road linking Asato to Apeso Kubi which will eventually facilitate access to the regional Capital Dambai.
He emotionally ,reminded the Chief and elders of Asato and Apeso the long dispute/rivalry between the two traditional areas since the 18th century that has been resolved peacefully.
On education, he brought smiles to the Girl child in Oti region that, come April this year ,the government will lunch a program dubbed “Girls in ICT” starting from lower primary across the region.
He was quick to remind parents to take advantage of one of NPP’s flagship programs FSHS to enroll their children.
The District Chief Executive Hon. Maxwell Kofi Asiedu in his short but well articulated remarks assured the constituents of more developmental projects to be executed under his tenure.
In attendance were Chiefs and elders from all the eight traditional areas as well as Head of departments and Agencies in Kadjebi district.
The minister extended hand of appreciation to the traditional rulers by presenting drinks and an undisclosed amount to them.
