Police personnel are the most dirty public servants in Ghana – NPP Communicator

Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and a communication team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Alex Opoku Mensah has described personnel of the Ghana Police Service in the region as the most dirty people among all public servants.

“Go to the Regional Command you will see that they don’t sweep their compound, clean their toilet and bathroom facilities among others”, he claimed during a panel discussion on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com’s reporters.

The Regional NSS Director took a swipe at attacking personnel after some men and women in uniform during a phone call to ‘Kroyi Mu Nsem’ political talk show expressed disgust how the Akufo-Addo led NPP government is treating security personnel in the country.

“I’m not afraid to say that despite free accommodation given them, they don’t even paint their rooms. …whom do they want them to come and paint for them”, Mr. Alex Opoku Mensah quizzed host of the show, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

According to Mr. Opoku Mensah, personnel of the state security institution are being too demanding from the government despite much efforts put in place to ameliorate their living standard condition.

“Government is tired of them. They are not the only institution in the country offering service to the people. …Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Prisons Service… Are they not also giving services to Ghana?” the NSS Director further quizzed.

“Unlike teachers in the country, you do not pay for your accommodation, electricity bill and others but you still want everything on your side”, he added.
