NEW NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE FOR ASIKUMA ODOBEN BRAKWA CREATES DISSAFECTION WITHIN THE PARTY.

The new NPP PC for AOB last monday, June 13, ordered the removal of all registration assistants who double as polling station officers who in his view voted against him in the primaries.

This action took place at various polling stations where the registration was ongoing. The communities these unfortunate action happened were Ogonaso and Edousia in the Brakwa enclave and Ato Dauda and Wassabiamoa (AtuWass) in the Bedum enclave. Officers affected were Kweku Effah, Osei Boah from Brakwa and all polling station officers in Ato Dauda (AtuWass) at the full glaring of the public and EC officials.

The new PC, Hon. Adjei Domson told these executives that, he can not work with them and for that matter has appointed new executives he could work with. The EC officials and some resident who spoke on anonymity expressed disgust about the display of arrogance and total disrespect by Hon. Domson.

It is interesting to note that, the lady who was brought in to replace Osei Boah at Eduosia registration centre openly told the PC that, she was not interested in the exercise and that her parents does not support the PC’s conducts too. At a previous encounter with the hon. Adjei Domson at one polling station at Brakwa, Osei Boah openly confronted him over comment that, is Osei Boah there (at the polling station) for the Party or that stupid man (probably referring to the president)?. This happened right in front of the regional youth organizer, Mr. Anthony Kwesi Sackey.

The said executives were deeply worried given that, the Party authority in the constituency seems indifferent about the actions of the PC.

In other related story, over 30 aggressive supporters of the new PC, last Saturday, June 11 raided houses of numerous NPP supporters in Breman Asikuma to threaten them and their families for reason that, they do not support him. Those who had their houses stormed included Mr. J.K Kesseh, a Council of Elder and his son, a communicator, Michael Kesseh Jnr., Ishmael Koranteng the Assemblyman for Apagya Ahenema electoral area in Breman Asikuma and his brother Godfred Koranteng, Kwame Ghana also had his share.

One Ebenezer Appiah, a party communicator also received threat via phone call from Apito, a close confidante of the new NPP PC. Fortunately, those threats were recorded. Others affected were Isaac Donkoh popularly known as Kwame Ghana, a party office attendant and one Kwame Yeboah affectionately called Oyeb was also reported to have received a verbal threat from one Joe Aluta.

Not only NPP supporters witnessed this uncivilized house raids. Journalists from the local media house Hope FM was not left out, DJ Track was verbally assaulted on the road while a threat text from the NPP PC through a third party was sent to Kofi Desmond, the Morning Show host. He complained to the chairman of the Party who apologized on their behalf.
