NDC’s CABONOU WROTE THAT POLITICALLY-LADEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT

The statement from the teacher unions in relation to the presence of COVID-19 in some ten senior high schools leaves so much to be desired.

Reading it, one gets the impression that it was scripted for them by some political groupings who have been agitating for schools to be closed down.

Some politically-laden insinuations and words found expression in their statement. It is as if these union leaders are agonizing about a loss of something precious or an impending loss of something.

You find expressions like ‘COVID-19 has raided campus, there’s nobody to rescue the students, pathetic, unfortunate and saddening”

Which civil union leaders, apart from politically laden ones, would employ such expressions in ferrying their messages across?

No one to their rescue as if there is no COVID-19 Team in place dealing with the issue. And the most worrying part is the obvious exaggerations they put out there.

These unions, per their letter, appear to be an amalgamation of opposition elements who thrive where propaganda gains roots and wallow in same.

Union leaders turned spin doctors on an issue far less severe than they make it sound!

Out of the over 400,000 SHS students, only 100 have tested positive in ten schools and they are asymptomatic too! How does this call for a shut down in schools when students have a few days to commence their final examinations?

Angel Cabonou has an agenda! He is in there to push NDC’s agenda! I am happy NUGS has come out to make nonsense of their calls to Government to close down schools because a few students have contracted the virus.

COVID-19 is no death sentence to attract this level of highhandedness as witnessed in the release from teacher unions, a letter which was obviously written by Angel Cabonou.

They should go and sit down and reflect upon the wording of such a politically motivated letter and write a more appropriate one to Government!
