NDC Turns Community library into Party Office, steals all books, in Breman Essiam

Power corrupted the National Democratic Congress branch in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency making them turn a community library into Party Office and meeting place during John Mahama’s tenure of Office. The library provided Educational support for over 20,000 children in Breman Essiam alone, but the glory the NDC could give it was to store their party materials at a part of it and use the rest as meeting place with former deputy finance minister and current MP for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency happily sitting in most of such meetings , without an iota of shame to his conscience and a plan to get the public facility working to the full benefit of the people.

The library project in 2003/2004 was initiated by Rev. Dr. Nkyi who was a parish priest of the Catholic Church in Essiam with support from the district assembly through the then DCE, Hon. Kenneth Obempong and funding from the French Embassy.

During the recent sodcuting ceremony to build a taxi rank and renovate the library in question, not a single book was found in the library. All the shelves were destroyed with the walls as dirty as dirty comes. The only things one could spot were NDC paraphernalia, their minutes book stocked with lots of information, flyers of their Candidate , banner and other old stuffs including newsletters dating 2016 and 2018.
The floors were full of cracks and dust.
Speaking to the contractor assigned to renovate the library, he revealed that during his first visit to the site, his team was greeted with NDC items which made him think he was at the wrong location at the time. He added that there was an NDC banner hanging in the room while he assessed the structure to be renovated.
The youth were not happy seeing those things on our visit to the community.

However,Dr Rashid Kwesi Etuaful, NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Constituency, besought the angry guys and stated that that was one of the reasons he decided to get the place renovated for good use.
The library, when renovation work is completed would serve a mini research center for all students and people of Breman Essiam and beyond. It would be an integral part of the guest of Government to provide quality and free Education for all.
