MAHAMA, SAM GEORGE SNUB E.T MENSAH AS THEY BOYCOTT HIS SON’S FUNERAL
Former President John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, snubbed the final funeral rites of Humphrey Tettey Mensah, son of Enoch Teye Mensah, former MP for the Constituency.
The former MP, having extended invitations to the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama and the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Samuel Nartey George, hoped the duo would grace the event with their presence.
It turned out that Mr. E.T. Mensah had been living in a dream world as both Mr. Mahama and Sam George boycotted the funeral of his beloved son.
A source close to the former MP said that Mr. E.T. Mensah expressed shock at the snub of his son’s funeral by the two figures.
He wondered what he had done to Mahama to warrant such treatment from him. He couldn’t also believe that Sam George who was in the Constituency also refused to attend .
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo together with Alex Martey, the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, were present at the final funeral rites of the late Humphrey Tettey Mensah.
Constituents and mourners expressed excitement at the presence of the parliamentary candidate of the NPP, Alex Martey and the President of the Republic .
The former MP expressed his gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for honouring his invitation.
Many of the constituents who were at the funeral could not fathom why Mr. E.T. Mensah would be treated with such disdain by Mr. Mahama and Sam George.
