It is an undeniable fact that Ejisu constituency is the gateway to Kumasi. Undoubtedly Ejisu is also one of the strongholds of the party. It is no doubt that in 2016 over 86000 voters did vote for the New Patriotic Party in the 2016 general election. It is on this premise that the Parliamentary Candidate of the party Lawyer John Ampontuah Kumah on his campaign tour promised delegates should they give him the nod will build an ultra modern party office to help in the grassroot mobilization and enhance party activities in the constituency
Many delegates and party faithfuls had doubts about this campaign promise and were saying that promise will not see the light of day. Many wondered where Lawyer John Kumah will get a plot of land in Ejisu township to build such an edifice. Just two weeks after the elections Lawyer John Kumah announced that he has secured a plot of land at the centre of Ejisu for the construction of the party office. This dream came into fruition on Thursday 23rd July, 2020 when the party emerged at Ejisu for the sod cutting ceremony.
In attendance to this colourful Sod Cutting ceremony among many others were Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye (NPP Youth Organiser), Mr Francis Adomako (NPP regional Organiser), Lawyer Justin Kodua (CEO YEA), Dennis Kwakwa (Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser) Hon Beatrice Serwaa Derchie (Ejisu MCE), Mr. S.O. Frimpong (NPP constituency Chairman) and his executives, Several Chief in the Municipality including Nana NkosuoHene, the Media and the Young Patriots of the New Patriotic Party.
The Parliamentary Candidate for Ejisu Lawyer John Kumah used the occasion to thank God for making this dream a reality and also thanked Nana NkosuoHene for giving out that piece of Land for this project. Lawyer John Kumah commended all the CEOs, Deputy CEOs and various Board members from Ejisu Constituency for coming together to champion this course. He encouraged all party members near and far to donate to this worthy project. According to lawyer John Kumah, the project is expected to complete in the next 6 months.
The Parliamentary Candidate for Ejisu encouraged the Constituency delegates and other party members to continue to sensitise people to go out and register in order to achieve the 95 percent vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the constituency.
He also seized the occasion to admonished the gathering to observe the covid-19 safety protocols outlined by the government.
Together we shall build a greater Ejisu.
