The NPP Pink Ladies, Kumasi Chapter on Sunday (Mother’s Day) 12/05/19 donated detergents to the Maternity Unit at Suntreso Gov’t Hospital in Kumasi.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Kote Beka, President of the Club, Abena Adepa stated that what gingered them to do the donation is that, first lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo started with the ‘Save a child, Save a mother’s project at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

In addition, she said another thing that channeled the donation is NPP is a party that shows love to anybody.

“We decided to do the donation on ‘Mother’s Day’ which is a special day for mothers. It’s not easy to be pregnant for nine months and deliver safely. They passed through a lot of pains and emotional trauma,” she said.

Abena Adepa revealed that they chose Gov’t Hospital to disabuse minds that Gov’t Hospitals are for the lower income persons.

Going forward, she again revealed that, the club was founded in 2015 by Nana Ababio Sarkodie, Chief Sources for Sources Tv and radio.

“We will continue to do more than this. We won’t end here,”she stated

The Deputy Organizer for the Club, Mrs. Angelina also added her voice and said some women are being impregnated by men lamenting at the end they don’t get anyone to cater for them.

“If we embark on such projects it will encourage people to know that when you join NPP you will never be in any difficulties in life”

She uttered that it’s not any party that embarks on such project saying with these kind of projects it will help NPP to retain power come 2020 elections.

On receiving the items in a joyous fashion, Ataa Boateng, Midwife, on behalf of the hospital authorities and asked for God’s blessings to bestow on the NPP Pink Ladies and the party as a whole.

She stated that the donation has come at a good time explaining that some of the maternal patients will need such items when they are discharged.

Ataa Boateng therefore turned into Oliver Twist and asked for more.

A section of the maternal patients who were overwhelmed and overjoyed on receiving the items expressed their profound gratitude to the NPP Pink Ladies and asked God to shower them with blessings, strength, guidance and urged them to continue to do more than this
