JOHN MAHAMA IS A BENEFICIARY OF SAKAWA. HIS FATHER WAS THE FIRST SAKAWA MAN

The silence of the CSOs, Think Tanks, Pressure Groups and Opinion Leaders on John Mahama’s uncouth statement against the Akyems is very surprising. Imagine if that statement had come from an Asante or Akyem person, would these groups keep mute?

The relevance of the Akyem descendants in Ghana’s politics dates back to the beginning of the historic era of Gold Coast politics and our relevance today is not our fault. Our ancestors set a positive pace which succeeding generations have followed.
God favored us with unimaginable wisdom.

It is unbelievable that John Mahama who is a beneficiary of Sakawa, tagged an entire tribe as sakawa people.
The relevance of history, is to acquaint current and succeeding generations with what happened in the past. Now history is here to guide our conscience.

John Mahama’s father, the late E. A. Mahama, a wealthy rice farmer and teacher, who served as the first Member of Parliament for the West Gonja Constituency and Northern regional commissioner under Dr. Nkrumah, diverted a generator meant for his office to his personal house for his children to enjoy light.
Was that not sakawa?

John Mahama’s father who was an MP and had his children schooling in Accra, transferred them to North to enjoy Free education which was introduced by Nkrumah’s government and meant for the poor people of the North.
Was that not sakawa?

In 2016, John Mahama handed over the Nyinahin Bauxite to his brother Ibrahim Mahama to extract for his betterment.
Was that not sakawa?

Ibrahim Mahama, John Mahama’s biological brother in 2015 issued 44 dud cheques to GRA to pay for duties on equipments and vehicles he imported and none of the 44 cheques was valid.
Was that not a scam and for that matter sakawa?

John Mahama has no shame. Has he suddenly forgotten the scandalous Airbus saga which his biological brother, Samuel Adams Mahama served as the intermediary 5 while he (Mahama) remains Government Official One (GO1).
Which sakawa surpasses this?

Ye who calls for equity must come with clean hands.
John Mahama stinks with corruption and has no moral right to even talk when corruption is mentioned.
Ghanaians don’t have short memory. If for nothing at all, we still have in mind the STX scandal, Isofoton scandal, GYEEDA scandal, SADA scandal, RLG scandal, CP scandal, etc.

If John Mahama wants to be accorded respect and recognition as a statesman, then, he must watch his utterances.

If sakawa is a crime then John Mahama is a criminal.
