James Agalga Imported Guns To Support JM’s Coup détat – Chairman Wontumi Reveals


The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has revealed his admiration for the legislator for Builsa North, James Agalga, but adds that his love for him is quick waning because of the latter has allowed dirty politics to creep into him.

Bernard Antwi-Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi disclosed that the Hon. James Agalga, is part of the team of bandits that were plotting to stage a coup d’etat with the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress.

In an interview on Wontumi TV this morning, the NPP Chairman who has promised to reveal every details of the intended coup plot by the NDC, noted that former President Mahama contracted Hon. James Agalga, to import several ammunitions and riffles into Ghana.

It would be recalled that in 2019, the government of President Akufo-Addo uncovered that the erstwhile Mahama administration, gave permit to James Agalga, to import large quantities of pump action and shot guns into the country for private use.

The minister of Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah gave a detailed revelation that the permit was signed by the then Deputy Minister for Interior under the Mahama Administration, James Agalga on 5th January, 2017.

In relation to the story, Chairman Wontumi, stated that the NDC had planned to use the guns in 2020 to create confusion and pave way for candidate Mahama to return as President.

He added that “James Agalga is a good man but politics has destroyed him”.
