Whoever thought that the principal theme underpinning George Orwell’s Animal Farm story has paled into insignificance with the passage of time needs to review his opinion on it because it is still very much alive today.
Moreover, it is worrying when one suffers from tribal bigotry, but it is far more tragic when the same person mixes it with hypocrisy.
Inusah Fuseini, after the 62nd Independence Day Celebration was held in the Northern regional capital of Tamale could not hide his admiration for Akufo-Addo.
The Tamale Central Constituency MP heaped praises on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for decentralizing the celebration of this august event for Tamale to be the first beneficiary of that policy.
The MP also commended the President for helping the Tamale economy as the event saw businesses making more sales with their attendant windfalls.
The 63rd Independence Day Anniversary celebrations took place in the Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi and the same Inusah Fuseini is chastising the President for same!
According to Inusah Fuseini, the Kumasi event was a sheer waste of resources and time.
He cannot fathom why monies were spent on such a project when the essential needs of Ghanaians have been ignored by the Akufo-Addo administration.
In effect, spending monies on the Tamale Independence Day Celebration was a judicious use of the state’s resources and time but doing the same thing in Kumasi amounts to a waste of money and time, according to Honourable Inusah Fuseini of NDC.
The honourable title should not be applied to every MP. Inusah Fuseini should have dishonourable preceding his name instead. With such minds in the system, Ghana has a long way to go.
