Hon Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency and Chairman of foreign affairs committee of Parliament has pledge his commitment and support for the successful completion and operation of Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement in Ghana.(AFCFTA)
Hon Frank Annoh Dompreh made this call when the Foreign Affairs committee together with the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanten paid a visit to the AfCFTA Secretariat.
Mr Alan Kyerematen said “originally the AfCFTA was scheduled to be officially commissioned on 31st March 2020 for commencement of trading among member states under the agreement on 1st July 2020 but the arrangements were rescheduled following the outbreak of Covid19.”
The broad objective of the AfCFTA is to create a single continental market for goods and services, with free movement of business persons and investments, paving the way for accelerating the establishment of the Continental Customs Union.
