CORONAVIRUS IN GHANA MEANS GOD IS UNHAPPY WITH EC OVER THE COMPILATION OF A NEW REGISTER ~ FORMER NDC MINISTER
A former Deputy Minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration, has postulated that the two reported cases of coronavirus in Ghana are as a result of God’s wrath on the Electoral Commission over its intended compilation of a new voters’ register.
Speaking on Nsoroma FM at Nkrankwanta, the former Deputy Sports Minister, Vincent Oppong Asamoah, opined that coronavirus visiting Ghana is not in a vacuum, and that God is using it to prevent the Jean Mensa-led Electoral Commission from going ahead with its planned compilation of a new register for purposes of elections 2020.
“You see, this coronavirus which has come to Ghana, you think it is for nothing? God simply doesn’t want Jean Mensa to go ahead to compile a new register. God is angry with the Electoral Commission. They better stop this new register idea” the Deputy Minister stressed.
He further stated that with this new turn of events, it means the opposition party and its allied forces have been vindicated by their stiff opposition to the compilation of a new register.
To him and the opposition NDC, they have been praying to God to stop Jean Mensa in her tracks as she seeks to rig the 2020 elections for Akufo-Addo with the new register, and God has answered their prayers by bringing in the coronavirus.
This, he emphasized, would coerce the Electoral Commission to pull the breaks on its intended plan to get the nation a new voters’ roll.
Vincent Oppong Asamoah granted this interview to the local radio station on Friday, 13th March, 2020.
