CHICKEN-LIVERED NDC FAILED TO SHOW TEETH UPON THE ARREST OF THEIR SON
The IPRAN rebels have been chanting war songs, boastfully hitting their chests and proclaiming how prepared they are for a sanguineous battle if that is what would guarantee them what their hearts have been hankering for.
They said they were ready to sacrifice their very lives to stop the EC from compiling a new register.
Such suicidal thoughts, emotions and ideas have dominated their discourses over the past one month or so.
To the extent that Bernard Mornah was summoned by the Police CID for making comments bordering on causing mayhem to Ghanaians who would go to polling stations to register if the EC does not stop the registration exercise, should tell one how passionate the NDC and their IPRAN rebel forces are when it comes to their opposition to the new register idea.
With the benefit of this knowledge, one would like to believe that if members of the party take delight in preaching same and galvanize support to roll out this elaborate plan of disrupting the registration processes, the NDC as a party should be in full support of such people.
As a matter of fact, the NDC should not only give tacit approval to such tendencies but must also openly be seen to be throwing their weight to them.
It is against this backdrop that I am struggling to come to terms with why the NDC as a party has marooned Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei when he is charting a path that meets their happy agreement.
In effect, the NDC leaves in the lurch their freedom fighter despite pronouncements by the top echelons of the party to fight the EC till the end in order to blockade any registration agenda.
Many a political activist or pundit had hoped that the NDC would people in their thousands at the premises of the Police headquarters.
It is, therefore, strange why they didn’t besiege the Police headquarters to demand the release of the self-styled apostle when he was fighting Jean Mensa and her EC.
What is indubitable is the fact that their demonstrations, agitations, egregious rants and whines, threats of violent explosions and eruptions have all been word, mere words, empty words.
