CHAIRMAN ABRONYE AND JOE DANQUAH STORMS BANDA AHENKRO.
The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party Kwame Baffoe Abronye and CEO for Middle Belt Development Authority also candidate for Banda Constituency Hon Joe Danquah on thursday stormed Banda Ahenkro to climax the registration exercise by the Electoral Commission.
Pressure is already mounting on the Member of Parliament (MP) for Banda Constituency Ahmed Ibrahim as he is been told by Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye to forget about retaining his seat because he will be humiliated at the polls in 2020 due to his abysmal performance for the past 12 years.
The MP, who is serving his third term in Parliament has become a subject of severe criticisms amongst his constituents, following what Chairman Abronye describe as corrupt, “incompetence” on his part, for his failure to bring development to the constituency since he was voted for in 2008.
Accompanying them were Mr Joseph Mensah 1st Vice Chairman, Adu Joseph Research Officer, Deputy Regional Organizer Kofi Darko, Deputy Regional Youth Organizer Shadrach Abrefa Mensa, Communications Director Asare Bediako Seth (ABS), Constituency Chairman for Banda Kofi Adjei and party faithfuls.
Kwame Baffoe Abronye speaking to the media at Banda Boase he said, Ahmed Ibrahim has failed the people of Banda Constituency woefully and deserves no chance to represent them in Paliament and therefore Joe Danquah should be given the opportunity to serve in that regard.
According to him, the pragmatic developments being undertaken by the president and flag-bearer of New Patriotic party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at Banda is something that must be supported and voting against Ahmed Ibrahim, NDC Member of Parliament for the area must be a community project since voting for Joe Danquah means voting for development.
Chairman Abronye called on Asiedu Nketiah and his NDC to rise above pettiness, political vendetta and seek ways of promoting development rather than using people for political power and dumping them thereof expecially voltarians.
In Chairman Abronye’s quest to capture Banda Constituency being the only orphan constituency in the region his team have visited the Constituency eight times since the registration exercise started and the move have prevented non natives and foreigners particularly Ivorians from registering which hitherto was the norm.
According to the constituents the frequent visits by the Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye has rekindle the spirit of the people in the area, saying they are therefore waiting patiently to go for the NPP as their only alternative come December 2020.
