BISSIW DECEIVED US INTO ENDORSING HER ~ NDC DELEGATE IN TANO SOUTH CRIES
A delegate of the opposition NDC in the Tano South Constituency, has said that but for her deceptive moves, Hannah Bissiw would have been rejected.
The young man who hails from Bechem, the Tano South Municipal capital, who pleaded anonymity, said the beleaguered National Women’s Organizer of the NDC promised to pay each delegate GHc500 when she is duly endorsed, but that was not to be as she paid them an amount far less than the promised GHc500.
“She promised to give every delegate GHc500 if she gets the nod to lead the party in the 2020 parliamentary elections. We were happy and went to select her, only for us to open our envelopes to find out that she rather gave each one of us GHc50. This is shameful” he said to this reporter.
Following the inability of the party to hold parliamentary primaries in the Tano South Constituency due to reasons the party’s leadership failed to communicate to its members, the NDC in Tano South has been characterized by infighting, accusations and counter accusations between supporters of Hannah Bissiw and Fakih Suala.
Without his knowledge, a source close to Fakih has revealed, the party set the date, posted the notice of poll on Facebook and in two days time, held the primaries.
According to the source, Fakih petitioned the court to place an injunction on the elections which was granted but the party went ahead with the exercise notwithstanding that event.
The acclamation took place on Tuesday, 25th August, 2020, amidst tight security to prevent any violence that might erupt as a result of the injustice meted out to Fakih Suala.
