Cassiel Ato Forson, member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency is adamant to the several calls from chiefs, Pastors and the opposition New Patriotic Party to stop bussing non-Ajumako Enyan Essiam people to Registration Centers here.
The District police Commander upon a tip off this morning, has arrested 3 out of 17 unknown individuals who were transported to a house in Enyan Denkyira to be aided to register for the new Voter ID card. Led by the NDC’s Constituency Communication officer, Galahad Alex Ando and their deputy Constituency Secretary,Fiifi Essuman Arthur, an arrangement was made with the NPP polling station women Organizer who doubles as agent at Ankukrom that she should find somewhere to keep these people for which the assembly member of the area through the Constituency Executives promised to give her an iPhone and one thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC1,000.00) if she could keep quiet for them to register the 17 persons. Being loyal to NPP and resistant to inducement, the women Organizer gave a hint leading to their arrest. Upon reaching the residence,14 bolted while 3 got into the net of the police.
Every hotel, guest house and known NDC house is full of people who they claim are indigens. At Attakurasi, during the recent phase, a VIP bus full of his bought registrants were sacked amidst insults and other exchanges.
We keep saying Ato has never won any Elections here on fair grounds. He imports strange faces to do his bidding. From the beginning of the exercise, the Constituency has seen the influx of both Mecho men who are intimidating the system, alien people caught and challenged during the process, and unprofessional Armed security persons sent here to cause mayhem.
The recent NDC Press Conference attacked the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party for nothing done. Here they are again acting and blaming people for their evil deeds.
The army ,policy, BNI , National Security deployed to ensure the smooth running of the registration should take all cases reported to them more seriously and ensure that breakers of the laws are duly punished
