Akufo-Addo Has Created 100,000 Jobs For The Youth In 3 Years- Perpetual Lomokie
Deputy National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Perpetual Lomokie Akwada has said President Akufo-Addo’s government has made significant strides in addressing Ghana’s unemployment challenges.
According to her, the gloomy picture of the Ghanaian economy, inherited from the predecessor Mahama, has been reversed, and it is on a defined road of revitalisation.
She added that the creation of jobs in the public sector was to compliment the private sector.
“In NABCO, we have planted the seeds for the future of our country. I have no doubt that NABCO will succeed, we have created 100,000 jobs in three years,” Perpetual Lomokie Akwada told Kingdom FM in Accra and monitored by Wontumionline.com.
Perpetual Lomokie said the long history of unemployment, particularly among the youth, is tragic and that the phenomenon had worsened because of the ban placed on public sector employment by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) through its conditionalities.
She gave the assurance that the Akufo-Addo led government would do everything possible to reverse the trend.
She, therefore, commended all young men and women for taking the bold step to lay the foundation for their future careers and contribute their quota to the development of the country.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launched the much-talk-about Nation Builders’ Corps (NABCO) in 2017 that will provide employment for the unemployed graduates in the country.
