Today, 30th June, 2021, marks the third anniversary of the historic and unprecedented first ever debate organized for an intraparty political election in the history of African politics.
The Programme was organised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Wing in collaboration with Critical Thinkers International (CTI), and was chaired by the indefatigable Sammi Awuku, the then National Youth Organiser of the Party.
The highly successful NPP National Youth Organizer Aspirants’ debate, the first of its kind in the political history of Africa, brought together party stalwarts and reputable party functionaries. It was held at the Auditorium of the All Nations University College in Koforidua, Eastern Region -Ghana, Africa on 30th June, 2018.
The roadmap behind the organisation of the debate was to be commenced with the organisation of similar debates for the respective NPP Regional intraparty contests before the climax with that of the National.
The first of the NPP Regional Youth Organiser Aspirants’ debate was held for the Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser Aspirants at the K. Nsiah-Gyabaah Auditorium, Sunyani Technical University, Brong Ahafo-Ghana, Africa on 17th March, 2018.
The principal purpose of the historic event was to unearth and harness the potentials of the youth for a sustained political growth and future of the NPP, promote intraparty democracy, and in furtherance, strengthen and advance the political dispensation in Africa.
This is a day worthy of reminiscence and commemoration due to the significant milestone it represents in the history of the NPP and United Party’s (UP) tradition, as well as, the deepening of the democratic governance of Ghana and African politics in general.
Critical Thinkers International (CTI) is a social policy think tank which seeks the general welfare of Ghana and the world in general, but most skewed to the ideology, agenda and well-being of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other centre-right political parties across the globe, with the Institution’s articles, forums, researches, among others, as testimonies to that effect.
The main agenda of CTI is to help bring clarity to issues of all nature which is of importance to Ghana and the rest of the world through Researches, Proposals, Articles, Forums, Symposiums and Lectures. It is the Institution’s agenda to as well extend help to the needy and the marginalized, especially women and children, through social outreach programs.
