POLITICIANS FROM NORTHERN GHANA DESERVE SERIOUS BEATINGS – KEN AGYAPONG
Ghanaian Politicians who are of northern descent must be whipped mercilessly for failing to develop that part of the country, Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Ken Agyapong has said.
The maverick politician who was speaking on Net 2 TV as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com said these politicians have failed woefully to develop that part of the country; hence the reason for their underdevelopment.
“When you are travelling to the North and you see the vast lands available and not used, then you come to the conclusion that politicians especially those from the north deserve serious beatings, serious strokes at the back…,” he said.
The Law Maker said he want the beatings is part of the ways of protesting the underdevelopment in that part of the country.s
He recounted how he nearly cried upon seeing vast arable lands going waste when he travelled to the northern sector of the country some time ago.
To him, there existed several opportunities that can be exploited to make the northern part of Ghana better and help stopped the movement of the youth to the Southern part of the country.
Ken Agyapong likened the tourism potential of the Mole National Park to some parks in South Africa and insisted it can be harnessed to generate more revenue for the country.
The former President, John Mahama, Ken insisted should be given the highest number of lashes for failing Gonjaland.
“I am part of the politicians that deserve beatings…if you give me 20 lashes, Mahama must be given 60 lashes, serious lashes for failing to develop the North especially Gonjaland where he hails from…,” he said.
