England name Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in 2018 World Cup squad Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope also included in squad

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ruben-Loftus Cheek have been selected in Gareth Southgate’s 23-man England squad for the 2018 World Cup.

Uncapped Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold has made just three appearances for England’s U21s with this his first senior call-up.

Omissions from the squad include Adam Lallana, Ryan Bertrand and Jake Livermore.
