The coalition of unpaid teachers who have been working for years without payment of their salary and also were not cleared when the ministry of finance gave some part of the team a clearance to be paid and were left out of the exercise, wishes by this press statement, serve to notify the general public especially the media fraternity who have shown deep concern to our plight during our first step that we took and paid heed to the government to respond to our grievances.
Our calling on social media today is that, the ministry of finance has giving part of the unpaid teachers clearance for them to be given staff ID’s, leaving few of us behind that our names were not captured when the audit team came round for the exercise, meanwhile we were all present.
We the affected people were requested to provide the necessary documents the auditors which indicated our presence on the said day. All in all, we sent the necessary documents to GES, for their verification, however its been 4months close to 5 months since the documents were presented and up till date we have not heard any good news from them.
After several follow ups, we have not been giving the right attention. On this note, we want to convey our intention to the media for the necessary rectification and verification.
