It’s not about going around trying to stir up trouble. As long as you’re honest and you articulate what you believe to be true, somebody somewhere will become your enemy whether you like it or NOT.
National Rural campaigners after national tour at rural areas has followed kneely the various presidential candidates hopeful to be, coming December 7th general election particularly on their very promises made. In zooming among, the NPP Presidential candidate at all time 2008-2012-2016 Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo with his recent promises made when he visited the three regions at the North stands tall in memories of all political parties, thus when he said his administration will build every village a dam to boost agriculture production in Ghana.
The NRC would have condemn such a promise if such a promise should have been made by another political party in Ghana apart from the New patriotic party with a reason that NPP is the only political party that have a clean heart for Ghanains farmers. The Agric sector has recorded consistent decline under the NDC government as compared to the NPP administration under John Agyekum Kufuor.
During Kufuor’s regime the bill for food import was at $600million but the NDC government has shot it up to $1.9 billion.
NPP left in office 2008, the import bills on food was $600 million NDC critized NPP for their performance and promised to reduce it.
Last year the import bills on food alone in Ghana was $1.5 billionWhich include importation of plantain into Ghana, this NDC government is a government we should NOT keep on voting for. Agriculture which in NPP last year was growing at 7.4% in 2008, this year was 0.04% under president John Mahama led NDC .
These are the facts about our Agric sector in Ghana, Indeed NDC government has mismanage our money allocated to the Agric sector.
NPP is poised to return the country back to the prograssive lime light if given the nod in the December 7th election. Ghanains especially farmers should have a total trust in Nana Addo , NPP and the promise of one village one dam to boost Agriculture production, the sector was in the past descried as the backbone of the Ghanainas economy , but that cannot be said for a fact in recent times under president mahama government. Major Reasons Why you Should Not Vote For NDC Coming Dec, 7th *Once the agricultural sector is on a decline it means there are some job losses there. If I’m not mistaken agricultural accounts for about 60% of job market in Ghana.
- The banking system is also on it’s knees because of the government’s excessive borrowing.
Continues falling standard of all agriculture produce at the world market. eg palm oil and cocoa under NDC
High cost of basic Agriculture produce in Ghana .eg cassava and plantain under NDC
High cost of agriculture equipments and tools. eg spraying machine due to import duties on them under NDC
Mismanagement of agriculture funds. under NDC
