GOD WILL PUNISH YOU FOR YOUR HYPOCRISY – ALLOTEY JACOBS SHREDS ASIEDU NKETIA INTO PIECES.
The outspoken member of the opposition National Democratic Congress and the former Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has bared his teeth to the beleaguered General Secretary of the party for his double standards.
The former chairman cannot bring himself to accept the fact that Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia castigated some party executives not so long ago for throwing their unflinching support for the former president but has turned around to do the very thing he chastened them about.
According to Bernard Allotey Jacobs, the party’s General Secretary cannot approbate something he reprobated sometime ago as that smacks of hypocrisy.
On his Facebook timeline, Mr Allotey Jacobs has this for the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress;
”Sycophancy is when ten Regional chairmen endorses John Mahamah and you castigate them for doing so and when the race for Gen Secretary is hot you endorses Mahamah Flag bear ship Nyame betua WO ka (God will punish you)”
It would be recalled that after the party lost the 2016 elections, a group of regional chairmen called on former President John Dramani Mahama to consider running for president again for they would support him. This was swiftly chastised by the General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia who said that it was against the party’s constitution for regional heads or any other party executive to endorse any candidate.
Interestingly, Mr Asiedu Nketia has openly thrown his weight behind the former president, and this has obviously nettled many party members, including Allotey Jacobs.
Mr Allotey Jacobs has not hidden his aversion towards the candidature of Asiedu Nketia whom he describes as a spent force and has indicated his preparedness to support Koku Anyidoho, the Deputy General Secretary.
Though there is no love lost between Allotey Jacobs and the General Secretary of the opposition party, this post by Allotey is likely to trigger a war of words which will likely deepen the enmity that appears to be brewing between the two.
