The Vehicle Taskforce at the presidency on Monday stormed the residence of the aspiring Deputy Communication Officer of the NDC, who was a member of the Montie 3, Godwin Ako Gunn, to retrieve a vehicle suspected to be ‘stolen’ from the presidential vehicle pool.
The Commander of Taskforce, Daasebre Kwabena Ahinkra, who revealed this to Adom News said over 200 cars went missing after the opposition National Democratic Congress was voted out of power.
He maintains that the car they inspected in the house of Ako Gunn is a state car.
He noted that Godwin Ako Gunn failed to show custom duty papers of the car while their investigations showed that the vehicle was registered in the name of the state.
Daasebre Kwabena Ahinkra said Ako Gunn will be invited soon to return the vehicle.
Responding to the allegations, Godwin Ako Gunn said the vehicle was not stolen from the presidency.
