Outspoken entertainment personality, A-Plus has eulogized actress Yvonne Nelson for her fight against the power crises that rocked Ghana in 2015.
Yvonne Nelson, together with some celebrities, on May 16, 2015, held a vigil to put pressure on the government to find a solution to the current power crisis.
The vigil, which was attended by thousands of Ghanaians, was used by the celebrities to register their frustrations with the power crisis popularly known as ‘Dumsor’.
‘Dumsor’ had adverse effects on the economy with several people losing their jobs, companies shutting down and even life being lost.
Three years after the vigil, A-Plus is calling Yvonne Nelson a hero for standing up to fight against the crisis.
In a post on Instagram, the musician and a supporter of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), said the mother of one is a complete woman.
“Complete woman!!! Hero!!! Many people have forgotten so soon how this woman stood up and fought the government when we experienced our worse energy crises,” he said.
A-Plus added that “In spite of all that was said about her and the threat she received, fear did not stop her from doing what makes Ghana great. @yvonnenelsongh is one of the human beings I have so much respect for. We can not talk about the stable electricity we are enjoying today without mentioning her.
